Elizabethtown, KY – A busy 2022 season is on the horizon for the Elizabethtown Sports Park staff.

From the beginning of March to the end of August, General Manager Todd Yancey they’ll have only one off weekend.

“I can’t believe it, but we are a matter of weeks away from the 2022 season already,” he said Wednesday at the Elizabethtown Tourism Commission meeting. “It’s go time again.”Yancey introduced the sports park leadership team to commissioners and delved into some new and highlighted events as they kick off the season, such as Kentucky Turf Wars — their own baseball tournament. It’s set for the middle of May and is already sitting around 40 games with more than 60 teams anticipated, up more than 20 teams last year.
